Dan is ALD's sole principal/owner and assumed leadership from Bart Jordano in 1993. Dan's experience in lighting and switchgear spans more than 30 years. He's a "hands-on" and committed manager who sets company direction and solves problems. Dan also works directly with select outdoor infrastructure, municipal, roadway, specifier and distributor accounts. His personal life revolves around wife Amy and son Colin and together the DeLongs are uncommonly active volunteers and community benefactors. Notable quote: "Do it! Make it right".
Steve (a/k/a "Howie") joined ALD in 2005 after years of experience acquired at other Twin Cities rep agencies. He's a seasoned indoor & outdoor LED fixture picker, honest broker and AGi photometric layout guru, who works diligently in support of engineers, design/build contractors and other specifiers. Howie and wife Karen are avid sports enthusiasts, with two great daughters and good season tickets. Howie is also an avid golfer and persistent hockey player. Notable quote: "Let's work that sales opportunity together."
Becca has worked with Dan and on behalf of ALD customers since the year 1998. In the 12 proceeding years, Becca held similar responsibilities at a second Twin Cities lighting sales agency. Becca supervises ALD operations, accounting, finance and customer service activities. She's always first in the office and one of the last to leave. Becca catches details and helps keep ALD running efficiently. Notable quote: "SAW (the ALD order tracking system) is an absolutely essential project management tool!"
Phil is a relatively new ALD team member (2014) who brings us 25 years of lighting experience. Phil spent decades in product development, marketing and management roles at ESI, a prominent local lighting manufacturer. Now Phil is the ALD "quotes guy" and also contributes to after-the-sale project management. Phil and wife Kristy share two daughters and a passion for showing horses. He's also a rabid Green Bay Packers fan and that's probably enough said. Notable quote: "Clean paperwork in = clean order out."
